Training for Facilitators

NTDC Train the Trainer

NTDC is now offering free, virtual Train the Trainer (TTT) sessions for individuals who would like additional support in preparing to facilitate the classroom-based curriculum. Each TTT session takes place over four days and includes instruction, interactive activities, and opportunities for discussion.

Upcoming TTT Sessions

All sessions are held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time) on each of the four scheduled training days.

Registration Process

Individuals interested in attending an available TTT session must complete the following steps:

Step 1

Submit an Interest Form

Complete the NTDC TTT Interest Form to express interest in an upcoming session.

Step 2

Receive Eligibility Confirmation

The NTDC Project Team will review submissions and contact eligible individuals with session details and instructions for attending.

Submitting an Interest Form does not guarantee a place in a TTT session.

Training Completion and Recognition

  • Participants who attend all four days of the TTT and successfully complete a brief post-test will receive a certificate of recognition as an NTDC Trained Facilitator.
  • Participants will also receive a digital image they can display in their email signature or on their LinkedIn profile to highlight their NTDC training.

I loved the material, especially the displays of understanding and the stories!

I appreciated the activities that tugged on my own emotions because it took a personal experience and related it to what kids in foster care experience but to a higher degree.

The “Real-Life” videos and examples are also excellent tools for empowering foster/adoptive parents.

Theme content incorporating many podcasts and real life videos will greatly enhance foster parent training.

Material is well organized, rich in content for families and easy to understand.

Love the trauma informed material that will help parents gain a better understanding of child’s behavior.

The building of themes really work well together. It flows very well in the format.
